2022 Philadelphia Kidney Walk

Still happening! The Philadelphia Kidney Walk is a go for Saturday, October 1. Grab your umbrella and rain boots to join us in the fight against kidney disease. We will have a modified walk route. Be sure to visit our sponsors and exhibitors who will be under tented cover.

We know nothing can stop a kidney walker in the fight against kidney disease, not even rain! We can’t wait to celebrate in the liquid sunshine!

Walk Day FAQs

1.What is the Walk location?
Citizens Bank Park: 1 Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA 19148.

2. Is the Walk rain or shine?

All Kidney Walks are rain or shine. If there are extenuating circumstances, your local NKF staff partner will have a system in place to alert you of changes

3.Where should I park?

Complimentary parking is in Lot P located on the corner of Pattison Ave & Darien St. Once parked, exit the lot via the pedestrian access. Follow the orange Kidney Walk signs to First Base Gate.

4.What time should I be at the Walk?
Walkers should arrive by 8:30 a.m. Zumba, snacks, mission tent and more will be ongoing until our opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. We will begin walking at 10:00am.

5.How long is the walk?
We will be walking the concourse on the inside of the stadium. A full 5k will be six laps. Two laps will be one mile.

6.What should I do with any cash or checks when we arrive?
Walkers who need to turn in cash or checks donations should visit the welcome tent. Anyone who is not yet registered can do so by visiting kidneywalk.org/Philadelphia or by visiting the welcome tent.

7.When does the welcome tent close?
Online registration will be open until noon on Friday, September 30th. Anyone not yet registered can sign up and make a donation at the welcome tent the morning of the walk.

8.Who gets a T-shirt, and when will I get it?
Every walker who individually raised $100 by September 30 will receive a Kidney Walk T-shirt mailed to their home address. If you raised $100 but did not receive your shirt yet, you can expect it in few weeks.

9.What is a good place for our team to meet?
Next to the baseball player statue outside of First Base Gate.

10.Will there be food and beverages at the Walk?

Yes, fruit and water will be complimentary at the food tent. We do recommend eating breakfast and drinking fluids before the Walk, as snacks are on a first come, first serve basis.

Unable to attend in person? No problem! This year we are offering options to your participation – join us in person or walk your way on your own time.  No matter how you choose to walk we will all be united by our belief in the need for better care and longer lives for kidney patients – for YOU and the ones you love.

COVID-19 Alert

Your health and safety continue to be our number one priority. NKF’s staff, board of directors and healthcare advisors are closely monitoring the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.  We are currently planning to host this event in-person on Saturday, October 01, 2022.  Our safety procedures were created in accordance with state, local and federal guidelines. If a change to the current program needs to be made, we will provide you with detailed information on those changes and how we’ll be connecting the kidney community in that situation.
Please Note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.
