2022 New Mexico Kidney Walk
Thank you to everyone who walked with us either in person at North Domingo Baca Park or virtually for the 2022 New Mexico Kidney Walk !
More pictures to come from walk day but in the meantime here is a picture from North Domingo Baca Park as our walkers head out!
Thank you to every one for helping us to hit our goal! You are helping those dealing with kidney disease.
Thank you to our presenting sponsor:
By participating in the 2022 New Mexico Kidney Walk you’ll let others know they’re not alone. Together, we’ll come together with a common purpose and walk for those who can’t. Caring knows no distance; one simple step can change a life.
Unable to attend on Sunday, June 05, 2022?
No problem! This year we are offering options to your participation – join us in person or walk your way on your own time. No matter how you choose to walk we will all be united by our belief in the need for better care and longer lives for kidney patients – for YOU and the ones you love.
Featured Team
US Renal Care Team
Here on the Zuni Reservation, which is a small, tight-knit community, many of the US Renal Care staff members are related to or know patients outside of the dialysis setting. There is a high prevalence of diabetes in our area, and therefore the rate of chronic kidney disease is high. We walk to better the health of our hemodialysis patients, support education for prevention of CKD in the community and interventions that may delay or prevent the need for dialysis, and to address barriers to and increase rate of kidney transplants.

Are you ready to pledge your support?
Your health and safety continue to be our number one priority. NKF’s staff, board of directors and healthcare advisors are closely monitoring the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently planning to host this event in-person on Sunday, June 05, 2022. Our safety procedures were created in accordance with state, local and federal guidelines. If a change to the current program needs to be made, we will provide you with detailed information on those changes and how we’ll be connecting the kidney community in that situation.
Please Note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people with underlying medical conditions and older adults are especially vulnerable.
By attending an NKF Event, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Let’s have fun and help keep each other healthy.
