Hi there! I'm Shanice, and was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2022, a surprise to myself, friends and family. Your support of donating to the fundraiser and walking with me at Long Island's May 2024 Kidney Walk means so much as so many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come. This cure-less disease is body and health-fatiguing, mentally and emotionally taxing, and so, so much more. But with your engagement and advocacy, we're able to tackle this disease to ensure CKD patients can live long(er) and healthier lives. This is my first walk and fundraiser.
