Why I Walk

I. AM. A. KIDNEY. WARRIOR!

I walk because I was diagnosed with stage four kidney disease while in my mama's tummy! The doctors and nurses worked endlessly, day and night, to watch my levels before going home. Because my levels were too high for my little body I was put on multiple medications. Now that I'm 7, I'm still being monitored with check-up, lab checks, medications, and ultrasounds.
I have an amazing team of Dieticians, Social Workers, Nurses, and Doctors at the Childrens Hospital Specialty Center in Detroit.
