WHY I WALK I walk because too many families are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come. I walk in honor of my good friend's brother, Jeremy who was taken way too soon from this illness. And as a healthcare worker, specifically working with patients currently on dialysis, I see the toll it takes on my patients every single day.
