I'm reaching out to share something really important to me and to ask for your support.

As you may know, I've been involved with the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana for some time now (28 years and counting), and their mission hits close to home for me. 

It's been a joy to see those waiting for a transplant receive one, to see individuals fulfill their mission to educate and advocate for kidney patients like them, to see the smiles (and sometimes tears) of children leaving for summer camp to be with children just like them, many for the first time leaving home.   These are just some of my stories and I encourage you to share your own in the comments below.

The Foundation does incredible work in supporting individuals battling kidney disease, and one aspect that resonates deeply with me is their dedication to ensuring that patients, regardless of their circumstances, have access to the care they need.

Many patients face barriers to healthcare, whether it's due to lack of insurance, transportation issues, or limited familial support. The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana steps in to bridge these gaps, providing vital resources and support to those who may otherwise struggle to access treatment.
