I have joined my lifelong friend Christine to honor her brother

Derek by walking for the National Kidney Foundation on Team Forfang. Derek Forfang was a fierce advocate for kidney patients and he loved to volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation. Sadly, Derek passed away in October

2023. So we now carry on the torch to volunteer and fundraise for this very important foundation in honor of Derek. Please consider making a donation or join Team Forfang to help us raise funds for NKF and celebrate Derek's advocacy work together.

Why I Walk
I walk because too many families are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.

I walk to support the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Foundation:
     - To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
     - To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
     - To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
