Why I Walk

In September of 2017 I graciously received a kidney from my brother-in-law Alex. My family and friends have been so supportive through the entire process and I am healthy and able to pay it forward. For years with my family and friends we have walked and donated as Jerry's Jokers. 

This year I am walking for Robert Scott and our team name is Robert's Raiders.

I have had the pleasure of working with Robert in the late 1980's and early 1990's and he was always a great worker and selfless individual.

He is currently employed by Probate Court where he is greatly respected.

In September of 2021 Robert was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and has been on dialysis ever since. He has been working hard and dreaming of being a kidney recipient. Complications have occurred and he now is in the process of a stem cell transplant. This procedure is very painful and will deplete Robert's immune system, putting him in isolation for quite some time.

He is looking forward to building up his immunity, getting healthy, and to able to get back on the donor list.
