Hello Friends,

I am participating in the Twin Cities Kidney Walk on October 8, 2022 benefitting the National Kidney Foundation held at Allianz Field in St. Paul. Today, I am asking you to support my fundraising efforts with a donation and/or joining the walk.
My dad was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 2004.  By the time he was diagnosed one kidney was not functioning and the other kidney was functioning at 20%.  Over the next five years he had multiple tests and medications to try and keep the remaining kidney functioning.  He was eventually put on dialysis in 2009.  At that time, he started the procedures for getting on the kidney transplant list.  In 2014 he was at the top of the transplant list and started the testing needed to confirm there were no problems to proceed with the transplant.  The tests found that he had to have a heart valve repair before they could do the kidney transplant.  In October 2014 he went in for the heart surgery and due to complications, he never recovered.  His body was too weak and run-down to handle the surgery.  We stopped all life support and my dad passed away on October 8, 2014.
My dad’s passion was helping the National Kidney Foundation by supporting their fundraising events.  This St. Paul walk is one he participated in every year and did everything he could to get businesses and people involved with the walk and/or donating. Please join me in continuing my dad’s mission in life.
Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of the 30 million Americans who are living with kidney disease. To donate, visit my personal page using the link below. Once there, click ‘Donate’.
