Hello! Thank you for considering a donation or joining us at the 2022 Kidney Walk. For those of you who know me (and those of you who don't know me as well) I am a proud kidney transplant recipient! I received my gift of life from my father, I guess once in 1984 when I was born, and once again in 1998 when he graciously provided me a kidney. I'm sure it was for more reasons beyond the constant barrage of dad jokes like, "now I can get him from the inside" and the like but that was certainly a big motivating factor. I've had my kidney now for over 20 years. It is because of my family that I got to be a normal kid, asking questions and fighting for my quality life at every turn. Now, with a little kiddo of my own - its my responsibility to stand up and give back. After all these years, my father is now in renal kidney failure and will need to transplant the remaining kidney he has. Please consider a donation. With inflation and all the other crazy stuff going on in the world we totally understand if that's not possible at the moment. If that's the case, please just share a kind word or a story about how kidney or other organ donation has impacted your family or friends. If you're in the Boston area, please come and join us on the walk! Thank you very much!

Why I Walk
I walk because too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.I walk to support the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Foundation:
- To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
- To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
- To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
Are you with me?
Please consider supporting my efforts with a generous donation.
