Why We Walk

Our team leader, Amy Brooks, is a kidney transplant survivor after a life long battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. She will be celebrating her 6th post transplant year in early 2023 thanks to her amazing friend and live donor, Sandra. Amy is living proof that each of us can make a difference to a kidney patient's journey.  Whether we create awareness about kidney donation, transplantation or help those with kidney disease on their journey, we can all make a difference.
We walk to help the NKF raise vital funding to support kidney patients right here in New England.   
Together, we walk to continue the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Foundation:
     - To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
     - To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
     - To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
