Why I Walk

Simply put, I walk for my husband. For over 7 years, my family has been plagued with kidney disease as a result of my husband's End Stage Renal disease. We went through many hospital stays, many missed hours of family time due to dialysis and a lot of worry on his health. Thankfully, on March 8th, 2022, my husband was so graciously donated a living kidney donation and as of today, is doing amazing! We have been granted a second chance as a family without kidney disease and we are making the most of it! I walk for the patients, the donors, the families, the friends. I walk to bring knowledge and awareness but also to celebrate.
