Why We Walk
F.A.I.T.H-For All Inspired Through Healing and 
LYMInvites you to walk with us on Sunday, September 18, 2022. This will be our 12th year that Team FAITH will walk together as a team and as a family. Our Dad will not be here to take part of this. He lost his battle with renal failure and heart disease on Sept 8, 2021. We will continue this tradition because it meant a lot to him and he looked forward to this walk every year especially being around friends and family. As I write this, tears are flowing because we know how much he wanted to LIVE!!
Few words from Dad's eulogy from my sister (Melissa Rivera): "My father fought kidney disease for 11 years! He was called upon the lord 4 days before our 11th Kidney Walk! I don’t have words to describe the pain and suffering my father endured all these years. There were many times we thought we were going to lose him. But he kept fighting, he rose up against the countless odds against him over and over again".
My family and I would like to thank those who have been a part of this journey and continue to a part of this journey. The reason we walk is to raise money to help people fight this disease. We walk for the children, We walk for ourselves but most importantly we walk in memory of our Dad, Juan Camacho.

I walk because too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.
- To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
- To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
- To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
