Why We Walk

In February of 2021, I was provided with the ultimate gift. The gift of life. I received a kidney transplant at Centura Porter Hospital in Denver, thanks to the incredibly selfless act of an altruistic donor in the midwest. I don't know my donor but I thank that beautiful soul every day and night for this gift. 3 months later, my wonderful spouse Hector donated to another person to save another life. This was part of an incompatible multi-person chain.

For 2022 and beyond, I want to do everything I can to support kidney transplantation including helping organizations that encourage donation and transplants. I was very excited when asked to Co-Chair this year's Denver Kidney Walk. I've learned about the fantastic work the NKF does locally and nationally and walk to help this organization help others.

Please consider either joining my team or donating to our team goal. Let's make 2022 the best Kidney Walk ever!
