Hello!
If you have stumbled upon my Kidney Walk team it is because you have probably seen my face (or already know me!) from my massive living donor search in 2020.My back story:
I am a 34 year old and 34 year kidney patient. I was born with kidney disease, and had my left kidney removed at 5 months old due to urine reflux. I went on dialysis at age 20 and was on it for three years. I received my first kidney transplant in 2011, It served me well for 9 years and I was able to do so many things thanks to that kidney. When it failed in 2020 I went on a massive living kidney donor search, dialysis was not an option for me. I was not going through it again. I was able to find a donor, a friend of mine for over 20 years!! He was a perfect match and we are both doing well!
