Why I Walk
I walk because it is Jeremy's tenth kidney anniversary!
I walk because if I were to name a top five things that Jeremy is passionate about, the National Kidney Foundation's work is one of them.
I walk because too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.
I walk to support the life-changing work of the National Kidney Foundation:
- To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
- To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
- To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
Are you with me?
Please consider supporting my efforts with a generous donation. If you can't donate, consider walking 10 miles (which can be spread out over several days) in honor of Jeremy and posting it on social media on April 2 (his kidney transplant anniversary).
P.S. I am going to surprise Jeremy with my fundraising efforts closer to the Kidney Walk date (March 27). So don't mention anything to him, please!
THANK YOU!
Andrea
