Why I Walk

Don't stand on the sideline!  Too many families worldwide are impacted by chronic kidney disease.  33% of American is walking around with a form of CKC without knowing it.  I understand the economy is rough right now.  As an end stage reneal patient that undergoes dialysis treatment, I am asking that you donate your time and/or contribute to Team Urs this year.  Many of you are unaware of importance of raising the awareness aboutt this disease.  If you are diabetic, hypertensive, and/or overweight, there is a high probability that you will develop CKD.  

I walk to support the National Kidney Foundation, my goals are as follows:

To provide information to families that need answers
Voice my experience to influence policy change
Continue to provide information about home therapies and transplant options
Encourage others that are impacted by this disease.  Remaining positive is essential to successful treatments and living a higher quality of life.
