Why We Walk
We walk in memory of Frank Roberts - our incredibly loving husband, father, uncle and best friend.
Frankie received his second chance at life in 2010 when Adam, a man he had never met, gifted his kidney to him. Adam gave us another 10 wonderful years with Frankie that were filled with loving kisses on the forehead, warm hand holding, hilarious and outrageous storytelling, bear hugs, long meaningful conversions, and the most delicious deviled eggs that ever existed.
Frankie was the strongest fighter we knew. He battled with a number of health complications at the end of his life, but he never missed a moment to show or tell his family how much he loved them with a wink, a fist pump or scribbled love notes on a white board.
He used to love attending the Kidney Walk and was honored to walk as a Recipient and be a part of the nationwide fight against kidney disease. This year we walk in his memory and to continue the fight as he would have wished to.
Will you join us?
