Liam was born with PUV which damaged his renal system. On January 10, 2017 Liam received a kidney from his dad. Four years post kidney transplant Liam is thriving. He loves playing with his siblings and friends. He has adjusted well to virtual learning but is ready to be back in school for 2nd grade. There is no cure for kidney disease. This is something that Liam will have to manage his entire life. We have been told that the life expectancy of a transplant kidney from a living donor is 15-20 years which means that at some point in his life Liam will likely need another kidney transplant. We are hopeful that the National Kidney Foundation's research program will find ways to make Liam's life easier in the future. We truly appreciate your support for this amazing organization.
